Plause is an app for openly recognizing your colleagues, to share things happening at work and be heard. It aims to strengthen the connective tissue of people groups who work together. It was founded by a team of veterans from companies like Apple, Google and Nest.

In August 2016, public rollout began with an announcement from Jose Cong - People Aren't Performance Reviews.

I joined the Plause team in January 2016 and worked simultaneously on web and mobile products.

After working remotely for 6 months, I traveled to Bay Area to be more hands-on with the design and implementation process, during the month of the public rollout. Here are some bullet points from that trip:

1. A two-day sprint on user research, where we built two "fake" websites in a day to get data and tested with 5 participants the next day.
2. Led design and implementation of the public website, working closely with Engineering.
3. Mini-sprints with a Design Manager from Instagram, and a Chief Data Scientist from Twitter, in which we've streamlined our design decisions for the Leadership Dashboard with rapid prototyping.
